Unfortunately the building was demolished. Located near Dokumentation Obersalzberg, it is today the site of the Kehlsteinhaus bus departure area.

They said it was structurally unsound.
The garage/staff block, possibly but certainly not the hotel itself.
Unbelievable vandalism.

I stayed there several times and I’m sad to hear it was torn down. I always loved it there and will have found memories of the time I spent there with my parents and niece. I’m sorry germany lost such a great landmark.

When was the hotel demolished?
I toured the underground bunkers, accessed just off the reception area, in Jan 1979. This tour was not permitted in 1988 when I made another visit.
