Unfortunately the Hartenstein Hotel in Oosterbeek was closed for refurbishment when I visited. It now houses the Airborne Museum. During Operation Market Garden in September 1944 it was used by Major General R.E.Urquhart as the headquarters of the 1st Airborne Division.
